3. Attend Initial Evaluation with SAP
4. Complete SAP Recommendations
5. Schedule Follow-Up Evaluation with SAP

Q: How long does it take to get back to work?
A: Varies based on recommendations. Timelines cannot be given until an evaluation is completed.

Q: How much will it cost?
A: Varies based on recommendations and insurance coverage. Insurance does not cover the cost of your SAP evaluation. However, insurance may cover the cost of your recommendations.

Q: What is the return-to-duty process?
A: When you get a DOT or drug-free workplace violation, you may be required to meet with an SAP. This entails an initial evaluation. Afterward, the SAP will give you recommendations to complete. This can include a class, counseling sessions, treatment programs, etc. No one can tell you your recommendations until you are evaluated. Once you complete your recommendations, you will schedule a follow-up evaluation. At that time, the SAP will let you know if you have completed all steps successfully.
